Beautiful park next to a river. For the spider lily festival, you can check online a live camera to see how the blooming is going. It was very practical, as this year due to the heat the blooming was late. We really appreciate how nice the staff was.

If you really have nothing else to do in and around Tokyo then this is a great day trip. I was there on September 24th and there were only a few flowers in bloom. There was also a high percentage of elderly people. There was also a kind of market where they unfortunately also let a monkey dance and do tricks.

We visited Kinchakuda gardens in mid-September after some light rain. At the time, the gardens were not yet fully bloomed, but we were able to enjoy a scenic walk by Koma river and still enjoy the grounds. The walk from Koma station is a decent 20-30 minute walk, especially for seniors or young children. Spider lilies can be found all over Saitama prefecture and come into bloom after rains or during cooler periods, however you usually find them in isolated wild patches mostly around rivers and valleys. Kinchakuda is an exceptionally beautiful garden where you can see these amazing red flowers covering the entire grounds.

Beautiful park - in late September to early October there will be thousands of spider lily blooming in this park. During these times, it’d make a great place for a date, or family outing. There aren’t much around the area though. Easily accessible by trains from Tokyo and a short walk (about 90 mins trip one way).

The park is quite far from Tokyo but during the event time (mid September-early October) so many people come here to see the red spider lilies. The entrance fee is 500¥ and the view is breathtaking! A red colored park with a river nearby. Many ppl brought their picnic mats, food and drinks so they can enjoy the view Some kids were swimming at the river too
