As you drive up, there will be staff there to guide you on where to park. It was very busy when I went and the queue up the hill for parking was around 15 to 20 minutes. It's a medium-sized waterfall and pond with a nice blue hue. Good for a quick walk and photo before moving on, as you're not allowed to enter the water here.

Stunning waterfall, the whole place set in an impressive gorge with steep mountains all around and distant waterfalls visible higher up in the mountains. Beautiful moss and cedars everywhere and a nearby Shinto torii gate perhaps most representative of its separating the mundane and divine worlds than any to be found in Japan. Not to be missed! If you cant find calm in this mountain pass, well…. Also incredibly easy to get here on the bus from downtown Kochi and the views along the way are spectacular! You might also get to meet Yuki, the super friendly bus driver. Locals have arranged private taxi hires for reduced rates also which will save you some walking. The pics are from early March so later spring will be more green in the mountains and autumn the area is bursting with colour

It is a great place to see. Just, the hype is a little too high. It is a waterfall. It carries an enormous amount of water, but it is very short. And the view point is very small. No more than 14 people can stay there together, which creates a quite long waiting queue on the stairs that takes you down there. That said, it is worth a visit if on the way to somewhere else

Rather average to be honest. Tiny waterfall with lots of people crowding into a small area just to take photos. Stairs were steep but short just coming from the tar road. No hike. Nakatsu gorge is a much more impressive experience with a nice hike.

Lovely waterfall outside of Kochi City. Small parking lot nearby, keep an eye out for the sign to head down the stairs to the waterfall. Unfortunately I went on a day after a lot of typhoon rainfall so the water was a bit stronger and cloudier than the usual blue people will see. Still enjoyed the spot though!
