JR Kizukuri Station Shako-chan

We took a brief stop on the way back to Hirosaki city, just to take the picture of the station. There is a car park, and the place is very quiet mostly students using the train to commute. There is a small kiosk in the station selling souvenirs of the area.

We went to the Sannai Maruyama site and found this guy and discovered that there is a station with this guy built in! So off we went! This station is in the middle of nowhere but it is very unique and we liked it very much. It is worth visiting at list once to see the guy, he is epic. There are also some sightseeing in the area, like Tsurunomai Bridge and Takayamainari Shrine. You will need a car or a taxi to reach the sightseeings, though. Taxi is crazy expensive, btw. 🚕 💰 💰 💰 On the station you can buy the guy figurine! (In two sizes). P.s.: it seems that "the guy" is actually "the girl" 😅

Visited in July 2024. Some people may say it's a colorful thing, but I think it's a fun station building, and I think it's simply amazing that they built a station building like this. I headed there by car, and when the station building appeared in front of me, the train had just arrived, and I was able to see the "Mantis Shrimp Beam" where the eyes of the mantis shrimp were shining brightly. It was a fun station building.

I happened to find it on Google Maps, and I remembered seeing it on a certain 100 views or something a few years ago, so I decided to go there just out of curiosity. The sun was so strong that I couldn't get the angle right, so I decided to head back inside the station building. I looked at the time and saw that the car would be arriving in a few minutes. If I recall correctly, the reviews said that their eyes would light up when a vehicle came in, so when I went outside, there were more and more people. I managed to suppress the sunlight and was able to shoot a video!

Giant mantis shrimp. I think this alone is worth watching. And if you want to see it, it's better to see it at night. I would recommend staying at a tourist spot near Tsugaru City and coming to see it by car at night. I wish there were more trains.
