It's not enough for Hokkaido people. The view from the observation deck is nice Sugisawa-no-Sawasugi is a mysterious cedar forest located in Nyuzen-cho, Toyama Prefecture that fascinates visitors. This place has been designated as a national natural monument, and its beauty and rich nature will soothe your soul. Walking through the cedar forest, you can feel the soothing sound of the murmuring of spring water and the clear air, and experience a relaxing space away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Sugisawa's sawawa cedars grow in clusters around spring water that has been selected as one of the 100 best waters in Japan, and the water is reputed to be clear and delicious. A variety of plants grow in the cedar forest, and the scenery that changes with the seasons gives visitors a pleasant impression. Especially in the spring, the fresh green leaves are vibrant, and in the fall, the autumn leaves add beautiful color. Close to the countryside and the seaside. It's like entering a forest. It's over 30 degrees outside, but inside the forest it's cool and comfortable. I came across a group of 5th grade elementary school children on a nature tour. According to the commentator at the time (a former school principal), underground water from the mountains created this kind of nature, and that the buried forest had been pulled from the seashore here, and that the seashore was built several decades ago to protect the Sawasugi from the sea breeze. The explanation about how they had planted trees nearby was memorable. There were three elderly men who were maintaining the area by cutting down grass and branches. The stairs to the top of the building at the entrance were tough, but the view was nice. Also, I would like to ask.

My wife happened to find it nearby and visited. There was no one there so maybe it was closed? When I timidly entered the room, I found a small forest that was completely different from the cedar trees along the coast. The flowing water is cold and clear enough to drink. It was also great to take a walk while bathing in the forest. Looks great on Instagram.

The place was much better than I imagined. Although the forest is small, you can feel refreshed by strolling around it in about 10 minutes. The museum was also free and educational. There are a few visitors, and the stairs to the observation deck are tough, but it's worth the climb as you can get a panoramic view of the surrounding area.
