Komezuka

Very cute. Climb Mount Kishima for a great views of Komezuka.

It looks like a volcano! ! It was named ``Yonezuka'' because it is said to be the place where Tatsuno Mikoto Takeiwa, the main character of the Aso myth, piled up the rice he had harvested. It is said to be a mark of blessings. The top has been dented for a long time. It seems like you could climb it in the past, but now you can't. There is no proper parking lot, but there is a parking space so you can park your car and take photos.

I guess Mt. Aso = Gogaku, but the image of Yonezuka is also strong. I can't enter at the moment, but it's nice to run around in circles. However, the mountain roads in Aso have poor visibility and many winding roads, so please be careful not to look too far.

I visited this place by chance after seeing it on Google Maps, and it was better than I expected. I went there at sunset so it had more of an atmosphere. It was yellowish in December because it was winter, but I think it would be better if it came in summer when it was green.
