Ashigezaki tenbōdai Observatory

After wondering whether to take a break at the observatory or not during our hike, I am very glad that we did. The views down from the observatory were magnificent. There is also a café, bathrooms and a place to refill your water bottle, which helped us refuel on out way down south.

It looks very nice in June. There are lots of hemerocallis and iris. You can also buy there an ice cream and some drinks. Toilets are available on parking lot.

Adorable little tower structure that provides a nice view of the area. Parking space, bus station, vending machines, and restroom provided. There's also a quaint cafe which serves much needed ice cream on a hot summer day.

A short climb up to the fortress and you are rewarded with 360° panoramic view of the vast sea. On a cloudy summer’s day, watching the waves crashing onto the rugged rocks with the sea breeze on your face is calming. After your visit you can enjoy nice soft serve ice cream at the cafe next to car park.

Great place to start a hike down to the beach area. Wonderful views from the observatory. Close parking and a lovely Cafe in the parking lot with bathrooms.
