It's called "teasing fire". You need to walk a little from the parking lot (you should allow about an hour to see it, including time to see it). Although the distance to the waterfall is not that far in a straight line, it might be better to think of it as a short climb (you go downhill) rather than a promenade. There are quite a few drops, so please walk slowly and watch your step. So please make sure to wear sturdy shoes. The waterfall itself is quite impressive and worth seeing.
This photo was taken when I visited in February 2018.
It had been cold for days, so I thought it might have frozen, so I came to check and sure enough, it was frozen. (Only some)
The transparent icicles and pure white snow all seemed fresh to me, having grown up in the city, and I never got tired of them no matter where I looked.
Also, perhaps because it is so famous for its beauty, there were signs that people had walked there, which gave me a sense of security.
A waterfall surrounded by fresh greenery in summer is beautiful, but I think there is something equally beautiful about a frozen waterfall in the cold landscape of winter.
By the way, to get to this waterfall, you can just follow the road according to the information board, but if you try to go to the base of the waterfall, the footing may be poor or there may be no path, so be careful.

I don't know how to read it as ``Kai'', but it seems to be written as Karamisaki Falls and read as ``Takakai no Taki''.
The instep of the moon reads ``Kaigarabone'', so maybe it's a typo? ? ?
Aside from that, it took about 10 minutes to get there from the parking spot to the waterfall as it was down a steep mountain road, but it took about 30 minutes to get back.
Climbing equipment is required during the snowy season.
It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to walk from the parking space along the national highway to the waterfall.
Along the way, you will come to a dead end and take a narrow, animal-like path to the right, but as long as you don't make any mistakes you will get there without getting lost.
The waterfall has a considerable drop and flows smoothly down the slope, so there are almost no basins.
This time I went the day after it rained, so there was a fair amount of water, but normally the water volume is a little less at this waterfall.
I came across this waterfall spot while passing by during Golden Week, and from what I've seen from other people's photos, it's a nice place, but when I went there, it wasn't very popular and was a bit scary. I can't even go to the toilet because I'm scared. Another waterfall at the foot of the mountain is brighter and makes you want to go to it.
