I was able to visit during the Reiwa rice turmoil. Yonekura (formerly Juni Bank) was built in 1919. Repaired in 2009-22. In principle, the interior is not open to the public. It seems possible to visit by applying to the Board of Education. It seems that it is also a filming location for the 2021 movie “Daiko Kone Sousou”. There is a monument in Omachi Kaigan Park (registered monument "Uozuura Mirage"). The adjoining office of Uozu Suisan is located in the former Juuni Bank Uozu Branch store (built in 1897), and the storehouse still exists in the former Juuni Bank Uozu Branch storehouse (built in 1899).

When I visited the actual site, I remembered what I had learned in social studies class at school: ``The rice riots started in Toyama Prefecture!'' There are explanation boards in front of Yonekura and in the park, so you can understand the history clearly. However, since this was such a big incident that it should be included in textbooks, I thought it would be better to make a little more effort to promote it. It seems that it is necessary to notify the Board of Education in advance for internal tours. 2023/10/08 Visit

I thought the rice riots occurred during the Edo period, but it turned out to be in 1919. I learned a lot.

I was passing by and saw the sign and stopped by. It is said that the rice riots that spread across the country during the Taisho era originated from this warehouse.
