The Big Buddha is 28m in height situated next to Lake Biwa. Free parking in the compound. The Ryoanyuji Temple was quite small scale. However, it was quiet and serene.

Big Buddha located right on the biwaichi cycling course. Nice view for cyclists and also a good place to rest en route Biwaichi near Nagahama.
