The loop course from Mt. Koya → Mt. Agehara → Kanibuchi was a wonderful mountain with many highlights and was easy to climb even for beginners, but the mountain trail near Kanibuchi collapsed due to heavy rain in August 2022, so it is not a mountain trail. It is very dangerous to pass through Kanibuchi as there are many places where you have to walk through the river, there are many crossings, and there are slippery stones and floating rocks! For beginners, we recommend piston climbing from Mt. Koya to Mt. Agehara. If you are aware of the dangers and are going to pass around Kanibuchi, please climb with extreme caution.

I walked through the forest surrounded by greenery feeling like I was exploring. A mysterious pond where the legend of monster crabs remains I couldn't find any rare plants or animals that day. The circumference of the pond is said to be 200m, so I returned after going around a third of the way. Place of scenic beauty natural monument

I tried to go to Kanibuchi from Nabetani-cho, but the road was closed at the entrance to the mountain. It seems that entry is prohibited due to construction until December 15, 2020. It's a shame because I had read the story about the giant crab from the anime Japanese Folk Tales😢I couldn't go in because it was off limits, but the forest road looked kind of nice.

The season is early July, so you park your car and walk along the mountain path for about 25 minutes. A secret area deep in the mountains. Reach the other side When I went around the water, I saw the blue dragonfly, which is usually only seen at altitudes above 1,000m, flying all over the water, which was very mysterious. There were also eggs (white foam) of "Mori tree frog" all over the trees.

As you climb a narrow and steep mountain trail and pass through a tunnel of trees, you will find yourself in a different world filled with only the color blue. The mysterious blue-green spring is said to change color depending on the day. In early summer, this sacred area is filled with the endangered blue dragonfly dancing wildly, the natural monument Moria tree frog croaking, and the rare plants such as the Japanese lily and the sheep grass blooming. This is a place called “Kanibuchi” in Ishikawa Prefecture, where the legend of monster crabs remains. The mysterious blue world is more beautiful than you can imagine. A bear bell is a must.
