A house that looks like something from My Neighbor Totoro A building that Hayao Miyazaki himself introduced in his book was burnt down by a suspicious fire. Mr. Miyazaki brought in a plan for the site to become a park. A park-like place in its current form. There are no benches or play equipment, so the park is lacking in quality. A place with nothing but a toilet. The toilet building was apparently designed by Miyazaki. Is the toilet something worth looking at? I can't deny the feeling. If you come all the way with this in mind. . . .

Mr. A's garden This is a Western-style building built in the early Showa period that Mr. Miya introduced in his book, The House Where Totoro Lives. Apparently the house was set on fire once by someone. After the tragic incident, the current garden designed by Hayao Miyazaki was completed. It has become a place of relaxation where anyone is free to come and go. Various flowers are blooming and it is very beautiful. There are surprisingly many people coming and going, which shows that it is truly loved by the locals.

Visited on the afternoon of March 23, 2024. A garden located northwest of Koenji and northeast of Asagaya, near Waseda Street and Sugimori Junior High School Apparently the toilet building was designed by director Hayao Miyazaki. The white magnolia in front of the building is about to bloom and is very beautiful, and the hyacinths and flowers in the garden are also very beautiful and well maintained. There was a nice well in the garden with a rope over it, but a hose was connected to it and I used it to water the garden.

If you go a little east on the road in front of Asagaya Shinmei Shrine, you will see a sign pointing to the north side saying ``Mr. A's Garden⬆''. When I was wondering what to do because there was no one around, a cute cat came out and meowed. I felt like I was being asked to come in, so I went in, but it turned out that this place was being used as a public restroom. There is also a garden that would be beautiful during the rose season, but it was a bit of a waste to have a toilet.

There was a house built in the early Showa period and a lush garden, but it was destroyed by fire in 2009. It seems that the A in Mr. A means everyone. Roses were blooming in the garden.
