It is said that this name was given because the waterfall looks like a white thread hanging down. The flowing water is like white silk and shows an elegant appearance.

An interesting waterfall to visit if you're around. Possible to park about 400 metres to the waterfall. The path there is pretty rough but the hardest parts have been equipped with staircases and bridges.

By the time I got to the parking space in front of the Shiraito Falls promenade...the road suddenly became narrower, and the grass on the roadside was covering the road💦Is that okay? I went there feeling a little anxious...while scraping my car on the grass. The promenade has collapsed in some places, probably due to heavy rain. Please be sure to wear footwear that will allow you to walk comfortably. It took about 20 minutes to pass through a small waterfall and reach Shiraito Falls in the back. The sidewalk has collapsed in front of the waterfall, but please be careful as you walk to avoid falling rocks and hitting the people behind you. It is a beautiful and wonderful waterfall. There was a sign that said it was 800 meters to Shiraito Falls, so I headed there with an open mind, but I was naive. The road ahead of the sign became narrower, so I left the car behind and went up, but it was 800 meters to the trailhead to the waterfall, and from there I had to climb another 400 meters. The mountain path is quite steep and rocky, so it can be slippery in some places, so trekking shoes are recommended. By the way, I climbed carefully wearing regular sneakers, so it took about 20 minutes. There is a parking space at the trailhead, but the 800 meters up to it is only wide enough for one car to pass, so be careful when driving. There were several small waterfalls leading up to Shiraito Falls, each with a different flavor that made it enjoyable.

There is a promenade along the valley from the parking lot, and you can enjoy a walk upstream to the waterfall while climbing the stairs and crossing the bridge. The whole way is uphill, so it might be quite tiring. Perhaps due to the humidity in the valleys and forests, the treads on some of the bridges were rotten and broken, and warnings were displayed warning you to be careful where you step. Just to be sure, I kicked the remaining boards to check on the situation as I crossed, but everything seemed to be okay except for the broken board. After crossing three bridges and going up the last (I think) iron staircase, the slope became even steeper and the path became a gravelly path, so I thought I would almost make it, but it was already hard enough. I withdrew here. Is it the one called Nenami?
