It's worth buying the ticket for the whole day. During the daytime it's fascinating to see Japanese history so closely, and at night is absolutely beautiful during the winter.

Getting here was quite a hassle cause we were on 3 different trains and 1 bus ride just to get to this place. BUT IT WAS SO WORTH IT!!! This is truly a magical place for someone who was born in a tropical country.

Such a beautiful place to go and learn some history. It's an open air museum. And the light up at night during the kamakura festival is great. I love the place though.

If you want to experience the true beauty of the snow lanterns and domes arrive just before sunset. Dress warmly and be sure to wear shoes that have good grip on the ice because the pathway can be slippery in areas!

January - March is the best time to go here, since they hold The Kamakura Festival. Have to pay for 300円 for the entrance fee. Recommended time to go here during the Kamakura Festival is around 4.30pm - 6pm since they started to light up the little Kamakura huts.
