Nagoya Castle is a great spot to visit with family. The entrance ticket costs only 500 yen, and it includes entry to the palaces and museums. There's also a big park to walk around and explore. It's a large area, and you can take pictures with samurai while you're there. I highly recommend if you’re in Nagoya

Incredible place to visit when in Nagoya. Easily accessible by the metro system. Tickets are very affordable. The shogun palace is beautifully rebuilt and well marked, almost all informational signs in the palace and around the grounds have English signs available. The castle itself is currently closed unfortunately, but the grounds and the palace are well worth visiting.

Charming experience of an important and amazing historical site. Breathtaking architecture, impressive grounds, and most importantly, beautiful artwork, expertly restored to a pristine state. Also, when available (Sakura season when we first visited) food stalls with delicious treats, drinks, and snacks.

Nagoya Castle is an iconic landmark in Nagoya, Japan, and visiting it was truly a highlight of our trip! The historic grounds are steeped in history, and we were captivated by the beautifully reconstructed Honmaru Palace. The attention to detail in the restoration is impressive, and the palace offers a glimpse into the grandeur of the Edo period. We were also fortunate to catch a live-action Samurai show, which brought the rich history of the castle to life. Originally built by Tokugawa Ieyasu, the castle stands as a powerful symbol of Nagoya’s heritage. The peaceful gardens surrounding the castle provided a serene atmosphere, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nagoya. Whether you’re a history buff or simply looking to enjoy a beautiful setting, Nagoya Castle is a must-see!
