Mt. Gassan 8th Station

The last stop for vehicle on Mount Gassan. There's a shop selling food so can eat up before hike the mountain. The view from here is beautiful if the weather is clear.

It is the trailhead. The parking lot is limited. Has bathrooms and other things you might need before starting the hiking

Haguroguchi is perfect for beginners. You can take a break while enjoying some sweets at the Butshoike Hut, and the atmosphere is great as you can look at Mt. Chokai all the way and walk while looking at the pond. The road to the parking lot is narrow and winding, but if you separate it from the approach road to the main shrine, you can enjoy a calm and leisurely drive.

Gassan Midagahara Wetland I visited in autumn, and as you can see in the photo, you can witness the fantastic scenery! It is good to go by car, but please drive carefully as the roads are narrow. *Large buses such as sightseeing buses also pass by.
