I went there for the first time in 2 months on March 3, 2024. It's beautiful no matter how many times I come. I'm speechless. The air was clear today and I could see Tanegashima and even the buildings in the city. You can see better with sunglasses. The sky above Yakushima was covered with clouds and I could see it raining. From the observatory, you can see the ocean at a temperature of about 200 degrees Celsius, and you can really feel that the earth is round. When I went there on Sunday, the shrine was open and I bought a black kimono-style amulet. Mr. Miyaji says this black color is the most popular. He told me. My routine is to take a break and eat some Shioraku soft serve ice cream on the way home. It has a milky taste and is delicious ♡ Every time I go there, I feel that the people at the shops are quite unfriendly. This is the only drawback.

I finally went to the southernmost tip of Kyushu (I thought it was Kyushu, but it was actually the mainland!?) Luckily it was sunny and it was a 20 minute walk from the west observation deck where there was a parking lot to the observation deck! After all, everyone should go through the tunnel and climb up without hesitation! You could see Mt. Kaimondake in the distance, and the white waves crashing in the blue sea below, it was amazing.

This is the southernmost tip of Honshu and is worth a visit. The scenery is beautiful and it's a place you'll want to visit at least once.
