Akimoto Shrine

Akimoto Shrine is located southwest of Takachiho Shrine in Miyazaki Prefecture. The roads along the way are quite narrow, so large cars are not allowed. I think it's better to refrain. There was no priest inside the shrine, so it was deserted. It was very clean. And the worship hall of this shrine faces the demon gate. Because of this, it is said to hold great power. In fact, the rocky mountain behind the shrine is so big that it will make you dizzy. It radiated intense energy.

This is a ⛩️ shrine that enshrines Kunijotatsu-no-Mikoto, Kunisatsuchi-no-Mikoto, and Toyosuke-no-Mikoto. Enter the mountain from the Takachiho Shrine intersection and follow the narrow road for about 10 km. Traffic hours are still being regulated due to road construction that has been going on for two years. According to the security guard, they don't go on Saturdays and Sundays. After all, the water is wonderful. It's delicious. And the pure spirit here is the best. There were also written stamps, talismans, and fortune slips. Best of all, the company is new and really clean. I guess the local people take good care of it. This was a place that you could not easily go to unless you had a strong connection, or unless you were called by Kokujotachi no Mikoto. The road along the way is quite narrow in some parts, and there are places where the mountain surface has collapsed and is littered with sharp stones, so please be careful if you are planning to visit the shrine.

Due to a section of the road collapsing, we parked in a parking lot (six cars) 300 meters in front of the road and walked. It looks like the stream next to the torii gate has collapsed due to heavy rain, and rocks and dirt are all over it. However, the precincts are well-cleaned and very pleasant. A space that makes you want to stay for a long time. The worshipers I passed by were carrying many plastic bottles, wondering if they could even drink the water from the Chozuya. I would love to go again.

If you cross the Tensho Ohashi Bridge in Hinokage Town and drive on a narrow road, The road beyond the parking lot is closed, so you will have to walk to the parking lot. You can leave the road along the way, but it is a narrow road. It's a really good atmosphere.

20240218 To the natural habitat of Fukuju grass behind Akimoto Shrine It seems that the situation is about 1/3 of last year. A few hundred meters in front of the shrine is closed to vehicular traffic due to a collapse. From there, you can walk to the shrine in a few minutes. There are two temporary parking lots in front of the shrine. The closest P to the shrine is 5.6. The farthest P can park about 10 cars.
