Off the beaten track but amazing view. Well worth the ride here. Do wear shoes with good grip. Slippery path. Windy.

We went there around 10am from Naha bus terminal. We didn't really made any plans and just went with a smile. looking at the reviews here made us think that it will be an adventure , and it was one amazing one. it is hard to find the place and how to get there but once u there , u feel that u managed to visit the moon and now u can tell others lol it was rainy all the time until we left, but the place is beautiful. it's hard for kids and you need proper shoes. So be aware for this facts. we took bus 89 and switched to bus 82 that took us to the peace memorial , we walked using the Google map and had to cross a field of corn lol on the way back we went to the main road , crossing the farms. I recommend not to do it and just go back same way we arrived ti the memorial place. I think the restaurant next to the bus station of 82 is really good and worth to stop and have lunch before heading to the falls. last tip,use Google maps, it's helpful , we used it also to know the right buses, on the way back we used 82 and 446. Total trip cost 6000 yen 🤟

Beautiful waterfall area from the runoff above. The area can be a bit of a scramble navigating after the stairs end so make sure you have proper footwear. You can take some amazing pictures and enjoy the view. During low tide you can trek out along the water a bit more and can even take a swim out here.

You can get to the beach from this spot. I tried to go down by the stream, and it's a bit dangerous, though I saw people did it. There were some surfers on that beach.

ITS A HIKE. Not exactly a kid friendly one either. My 3 year old had trouble going down, and was carried back up. In my opinion, you can't see the waterfall very well from where the stairs end. You have to make your way down to get the full experience. Once you do get there though, it's amazing. The tide pools had shrimp, fish, crabs and starfish. The water felt cold towards the waterfall. There were a lot of people fishing as well. There is a spot near the cliff where you can take a great photo of the ocean and tide pools. You can also see an old dam and the new one they built. The parking area is not paved or marked. It is a gravelled are. There also aren't any restrooms or picnic tables, so be prepared to bring trash bags and food/water with you.
