Furousui is located less than 10 minutes walk from Kashii Shrine (Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City). The water is so famous that it has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 waters. According to guides and literature, this spring water was also used in cooking for the emperor. It is said that a man named Takeuchi Sukune lived as long as 300 years because he drank the spring water. It is located on the mountain side of the main hall of Kashii Shrine, passing through a residential area. You can take this spring water home for free, but please note that there are fixed times. The information sign says ``Japan's Three Famous Waters,'' and you'd think it's beautiful spring water, but many people today think it's not sanitary. There are only three famous waters in Japan, so when you visit Kashii Shrine, why not take a stroll?

I came this far and forgot my plastic bottle💦 I received it by hand from a ladle. The water was delicious It feels like a place that is cherished by the locals, and it's nice that it's small and quiet in a residential area.

The door is unlocked from 10:00-15:00, so you can get water. There is no place to park your car, so we recommend taking a walk while visiting Kashii Shrine. If you wish to drink water, it is recommended that you boil it before drinking, so be sure to prepare a container to take home with you. It seems that the water supply is decreasing, so please enjoy the famous water without being greedy. Even if you don't drink the water, I think it's interesting to hear that Takeuchi Sukune dug a well and provided the famous water to Emperor Chuai and Empress Jingu, who are enshrined at Kashii Shrine. There is a signboard for the Takeuchi residence ruins in the foreground, and although there is a nameplate that says ``Takeuchi'' in a position that looks like the Takeuchi residence ruins, I think it is a normal private house, so I think it is better not to enter.

Furousui has been selected as one of the top 100 famous waters because of the legend that Sukune Takeuchi lived to be 300 years old after drinking this water. I think there used to be more water. Maybe it's because more people are drinking it now that it's famous. The water tasted soft.
