Cheap and beautiful plum tree park by the sea. If you don't have a car you can easily access it via the other plum tree park next door as they are connected, using the community bus from Tatsuno JR station (get off at Kurozaki). The bus does not run on Sundays. Highly recommended!

We went when much of the Ume plum flowers had fallen. In the morning, it was peaceful and not crowded at all since the flower hype had died down. Due to this, the park had free entry and free parking too. There are public toilets and vending machines only. The ocean view from the top is beautiful. There's a tiny slide for kids and grass to sit on and enjoy the view and scenery. On the way up, you'll pass some cute small, pretty, well-maintained gardens with canola flowers.

Went a little early for the plum blossom. So there were only a few people there. Which meant we could see more wild life. Birds and a whole group of wild galloping deer.

As its name suggests, Sekai no Ume which means World's Plum, this park showcases many varieties of plum trees from many different countries. It's best to go here during plum season, roughly at the beginning of March when the plum blossom is at its peak. Beware of traffic though, since the road uphill is rather narrow, it can get clogged pretty quick.
