Visited in September 2024 This waterfall has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls. Yaetaki is the collective name for the eight waterfalls on the Tamiya River. It was quite difficult to get to Yashio Falls upstream, but it's worth going to see. You will be walking on quite a mountain path, so we recommend that you wear comfortable, non-slip shoes.

A group of waterfalls flowing through the Tamiya River in Ryuzu Yaedaki Nature Park. It has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls. There is no waterfall called Yaetaki; it is a general term for eight waterfalls. Basically, there is plenty of water. There is a promenade that is about 1km one way. It's well maintained while retaining a natural atmosphere, making it easy to stroll around. However, there are some areas that have fallen into disrepair due to aging or collapse due to natural disasters. I think it's fine if you're just going for a walk, but if you're looking to see waterfalls, it's a bit questionable. There are only three waterfalls that look like waterfalls: Yashio Falls, Yashio Falls, and Takijiri Falls, and the rest are not worth seeing. I can't shake the feeling that I gave it a name and made it 8. It is better to think of it as a bonus instead of expecting to see all the waterfalls. There is no problem with clothes and shoes as long as they are comfortable to walk in. Free parking and toilets available. Sarutobi Falls, the lowest waterfall, flows in the opposite direction from the other waterfalls from the parking lot, so we recommend stopping by on your way home instead of walking. There is a small space near Sarutobi Falls, so you can park your car.

Recomendo a visita!

There is no waterfall called Yaetaki, but it is a general term for eight waterfalls. One of Japan's top 100 waterfalls. There is a parking lot available even on Saturdays and Sundays. It takes 45 minutes one way to travel along an unpaved road with some ups and downs. There is a sign warning of bears, and there are bear bells that can be borrowed for free in the parking lot. The water in the river was clean, and even on a sunny day at the end of May, there was plenty of water and some impressive waterfalls. There are trees and shade, so even on sunny days you can walk more comfortably than on flat land.
