Alps Azumino National Government Park (Horigane, Hotaka)

A great place to see all the tulips and cherry blossoms in the spring. We went during the spring festival and they had booths selling some cool stuff. It's beautiful and only costs 450 yen to enter with free parking. Highly reccomend.

This is a very big and nice park. It should be very beautiful when the flowers blossom. Can spend the whole day here indeed. However, the restaurant is closed on weekdays. And there is no cafe or snack kiosk at all. Better bring your own food and snacks. Besides, you can’t use your mobile phone since there is no signal or wifi. Also remember to get a map at the entrance since there are not many maps or directories inside the park and you can’t search your way using your phone.

Stunning display during wintertime Christmas, music and lights pulsing along to the beat. It was snowing when we went, so it definitely added more flair, but it was COLD! I didn’t bring gloves and my fingers were starting to go numb. There was a photographer on site when we went and there was quite a long line to get a commemorative picture. It’s definitely a good place to visit whether you are on a date, or want to bring the kids. Very nice walk through the entire grounds.

These days you can enjoy with your family or friends by watching very colorful lights and cold snow. You can watch the fireworks 💥 also. (Starts at 6.30pm). Weather is very cold 🥶.
