Fukuroda Falls

Absolutely beautiful waterfall. I was only one of three people there, but it is clearly setup for larger crowds. Inexpensive admission, and suitable for the mobility impaired. 300 yen admission, and 500 yen for car parking. Bring cash. There are restaurants and souvenirs available nearby. Definitely recommend a visit. Allow 2 hours.

One of the most amazing naturals wonders I’ve seen in my life. Been to Niagara Falls which is amazing also but this was a more personal experience. There were no other visitors and it was just me and my friends having the falls to ourselves. The walk through the quaint village to get to the falls felt like a scene from studio Ghibli. We saw a real giant natural Koi in the stream. Not stocked or released. I didn’t even know Koi fish naturally live in streams / rivers. It was magical experience and I highly recommend spending a day at the falls and onsen is ibaraki if you want a day off from Tokyo.

The observatory is a 15-20 minute walk from the parking lot. The walk itself is enjoyable, with a tunnel to pass through and a beautiful waterfall with cascading streams alongside the path.

Beautiful! Loved the whole area around the falls and enjoyed how the falls viewing was set up. Easy to see from many angles.

This is a must-go tourist attraction here in Ibaraki. One of the nice falls that can be seen here. Its quiet far though so, you need a car or private ride for you to get there. There is an entrance fee here. They have two observatory viewpoint. One facing in the middle of the falls and one on its top view. The falls is really enchanting.
