Ancient Lotus Museum

A lotus shower is a method of showering water by connecting a water hose to the large leaves of a Gyoda lotus tree. Amazing!

Lots of great information about the lifecycle of the lotus, not only in Japan but from other parts of Asia too. The exhibits look fantastic with insect models etc too. There's a high quality video that loops and I recommend that.The staff are very friendly and helpful too.

The flowers are in their final stages, and there are fewer types of lotus in bloom, but this may be the only place in the world where you can see lotuses. Most of them are for harvesting lotus roots, but I think there are few that are just for viewing the flowers. There is nothing more satisfying than being able to see so many different types of flowers. You can park in the parking lot regardless of the time, which is also one of the attractions. Next time, I would definitely like to visit when it is in full bloom. The rice field art from the Ancient Lotus Hall is designed so that it can be seen beautifully from here, so you can see it very well from the observation deck.
