One of my favorite places to watch for the sunrise. The parking is free and it is open 24/7. The downside of this is the toilet. There is only 1 capsule toilet which is shared by both genders.

Although the name is Meoto Iwa, the larger island (rock) looks like an elephant. I like it so much that I come back to see the scenery from time to time. It's a place where about 12 cars can be parked. It's located on a cliff, so you can even step down to the beach. However, it is narrow enough to be called a sandy beach, and the wave-dissipating blocks are quite buried in the sand, so you need to be careful. On a stormy day, the waves can hit quite violently.
