The statue of Takeda Shingen right in front of Kofu Station is impressively large and has a commanding presence, even more than I expected.

During my early college years, I had to do a report on Takeda Shingen. I always love reading and watching both fictional and non-fictional accounts of his battles. The statue is right in the middle of Kofu city next to the train station. Plenty of near by parking and places to eat.
