We called in on a rainy day, just by chance. Unfortunately, we didn't have any towels - s9 had to drive back out to get some! It was worth it! My wife and I rented the "Family Room" so we could enjoy the experience together. The setting is spectacular- steam rising from the stream in front of the Baths. And the gardens and shrine added to the alure - very nice!

A very gorgeous and beautiful place to visit. There’s even a public onsen you can visit if you are just stopping by. This place feels so mystical and ancient. You feel like you’re just BREATHING in the history. This is a stop along one of the many famous Wakayama pilgrimage routes.

Yunomine onsen is a small onsen town, we visited mainly for the famous Tsuboyu. Unfortunately, the Tsuboyu was closed that day due to heavy rain. We just managed to try the kashikiri next to the ticket office, spent about an hour in the area and continued our journey down south.

Japan's oldest hotspring where you can cook your own eggs and vegetables. You can buy them in the shops close by. Water is naturally heated up to 90 degrees Celsius. Cooking times: Eggs take 11 min, Corn takes 40 min, Sweet potatoes take 60 min.
