Onosensui Park

This park is located right next to the Ueki Interchange in Kita Ward, Kumamoto City. It is a park associated with Ono Komachi, and legend has it that when Ono Komachi was born, the spring water from this park was used. It is also known as a firefly habitat and has been selected as one of the ``Kumamoto Firefly Villages 100''. The parking lot is quite wide and easy to park, and I think it's attractive for those who want to relax and have fun because there aren't many people, probably because it's not a very popular place. There is some play equipment in the park, including swings for 4 people and a small slide, so it can be enjoyed by children up to preschool age. There is also a stream running through the park, and there is also a pond in the back, where colorful carp and small fish are swimming happily (however, it was the day after it rained when I visited, so unfortunately there was a pond in the back). (The water was a bit cloudy). Furthermore, there are stairs that go up from the pond and connect to Shichikuni Shrine, so I think it would be a good idea to visit there as well. The deities enshrined include Amaterasu Omikami, Shikane no Kami, and Emperor Jinmu. Recommended for those who want to take a leisurely walk along the water.

It was a quiet place. I think it's a little healing spot. There was also play equipment and toilets for children.

It is said to be the birthplace of Ono Komachi. (one theory) It's right next to the Kita Kumamoto Smart Interchange. A beautiful garden? is. I get the impression that the cleaning is thorough. (When I went there, they were mowing the grass with all their might.) It may be a little difficult to understand (and narrow) along the way, but they were doing widening work. There is also a bus stop. There is also ample parking. There was an old stone bridge, but it was maintained as a park and didn't have the feel of a historical site. Might be a good place to go for a stroll.

There's nothing special about it, but it's a place where you'll want to just lie down on the grass for a change of pace or go feed the carp. Fireflies season is also good👍 There is a road between the park and the pond, and I used to be careful about cars when I was with children, but there is a detour nearby so I wonder if they will remove the road.
