There are many exhibits to enjoy, but I learned a lot from the videos shown in the hall. I watched it alongside the regulars, and even though they were very quiet and had probably seen it thousands of times, I was impressed to see how seriously they were appreciating it each time. If you have time, it seems like there is a real one up in the mountains, so it would be a good idea to go and see it!

I used this as a parking lot when visiting the World Oil Museum (^_^) The parking lot is large enough to accommodate several buses, and even though it was early in the morning, there were already many cars parked there, probably climbers. I guess everyone is using this as their base to go hiking in the mountains (^o^) Inside the park - and also around the park - there are rare oil mining ruins dotted around (and they come with explanatory plates), so it's a perfect place to park your car and take a walk (^o^)✊

This is a park where you can learn about the remains of Niigata's oil fields. Although it is very deserted, you can see the related facilities themselves and models. In addition to this location, there is a promenade across the road to the mountain on the south side, and you can take a walk for about 20 minutes (this time of year there are a lot of mosquitoes, so precautions are essential!) There are also the remains of a mysterious dinosaur-like facility and a visitor center. I get the impression that more people are using it as a starting point for the climbing course of Mt. Bodzui Temple rather than park users. The parking lot is super spacious

"Industrial ruins that can be seen on foot" "Museum and visitor center available" "Some ruins require trekking equipment" Some oil field ruins remain between the Satoyama Visitor Center and the Oil World Museum. You can tour it on foot. The surrounding area is Japan's largest oil field. [Free parking] Satoyama Visitor Center #letsguide #Japan's #1 #Japan's largest

A park where you can explore the history of oil extraction for free. There's plenty of parking space, and there's even space for kids to enjoy! You can also enjoy walking in the countryside. There is something like a product store where you can buy ice cream and souvenirs.
