Jomon Jiyukan

Worth visiting during cruise stop Only 20 min in taxi. We ate at museum and enjoyed apple juice and tea sampling. Ramen was good Purchased tea from local vendor.

Buses available from Shin-Aomori Station. Discount tickets available if you've visited Aomori Museum of Art on the same day.

A good museum of Japan(better than Tokyo national museum). There is a big site back of the museum but cheap ticket. Provide food each person 1000-2000 yen. There are signs using different language( English, Chinese, Korean, Thai) to introduce all of the stuff. Good gift shop to buy some souvenirs and bus is convenient.

Try to catch the free guided tours which run every hour- that makes the visit so much more interesting! Unfortunately I think these tours are only in Japanese. Maybe they have translation devices, not sure. You can lend winter boots for free as well. PS: if you have the art museum ticket, you can avail a small discount here.

what you can see is cool 👍, really... but the information about the history of the place is a bit rare/small compared with other museums... but to be honest - it's also cheap...
