I heard that there was a group of ancient tombs about 7km from Miyoshi Station, so I rented a bicycle in front of the station, but it was extremely hot. If it's a cool day, I think it's a good idea to visit for cycling as well. Haniwa are lined up right from the parking lot, and it looks nice against the blue sky. There are burial mounds on the other side of the hill, and the scenery is beautiful, so it makes sense that ancient people chose this place as a mass grave. However, at the height of summer in August, it was too hot to see any tourists in the outdoor area.

I went there because I heard they were holding a trick art exhibition. At the entrance, I was asked if I wanted a ticket for a special exhibition or a regular exhibition, and I bought a ticket for the special exhibition. The trick art exhibition is a special exhibition, and you can also see the regular exhibition with a ticket to the special exhibition, so start with the regular exhibition. I've watched it many times, and every time I watch it, I discover something new. There was also a special exhibition explaining poisonous mushrooms. There are some mushrooms that I used to eat in the past that have recently been found to be poisonous, and I learned that such things do exist. Next, I went to the trick art exhibition that was my purpose this time. At the entrance, we were given some advice: ``It will look more prominent if you look at it through a camera such as a smartphone than if you look at it with your eyes.'' It was OK to take photos, so I watched while holding my smartphone. It certainly looks poppy with the naked eye, but it looks more three-dimensional when viewed through a smartphone camera. By the way, I did a popularity vote for the work. I thought, ``I wonder if she's a geisha,'' but when I looked at the process halfway through, it turned out that's what happened (lol) Although there aren't that many works, I thought it would be perfect to enjoy while chatting with your kids during summer vacation.

There were explanations about the many ancient tombs that were discovered during construction work to open the Chugoku Expressway. It was interesting to learn that the shapes of kofun are different depending on the region. There were explanations based on the flow of time and comparisons of the sizes of kofun. I was surprised by the number of ancient tombs in this area.

I visited this site because there are 176 ancient tombs crowded together within the approximately 30 hectare site. There are ancient tombs of various sizes on the rolling hills. It's a good exercise to see the whole thing, so we recommend visiting when the weather is nice. There are also restored pit dwellings and stilt dwellings, and while there are many things to see, it was a shame that we couldn't go inside. The History and Folklore Museum was closed when I visited, so I'm not sure about the exhibits, but I think you can deepen your understanding by visiting the museum as well.

I always looked at the direction signs while driving, but I had a lot of time on my hands, so this was my first visit. I was holding a figure exhibition. Is this for nerds? The August heat makes it impossible to take a quick tour around the park, but I think you can enjoy walking around the local area in spring and autumn while tracing back to the eternal past.
