Sagakei Gorge

This valley has been selected as one of Japan's three greatest gorges, along with Geibikei in Ichinoseki City, Iwate Prefecture, and Yabakei Gorge in Nakatsu City, Oita Prefecture. The view of Sagakei Gorge from the Oku-Matsushima sightseeing boat is so impressive that it is truly a sight to behold.

Sagakei in Higashimatsushima City is a little-known spot where you can enjoy spectacular views. It's worth taking a short trip from Matsushima to see it, but you can only get a partial view from land. It's great to be able to get close to Saga Gorge on a small boat.
