beautiful aquarium on the ocean shore. went on monday morning, caught four shows in total, attending the killer whales twice. they had slightly different programs on the first and second attendance. take a raincoat with yourself if you don't want to get drenched or buy at the venue for 400 yen. the amount of people were moderate, you can genuinely secure good seating places if you come to venue around 30-45 minutes before the show, but during the shows, especially for killer whales, venues get full very fast.

About 2 hours bus ride from Tokyo station with very awesome aquarium with many performances. The killer whale show is the best performance and be prepared to get wet if you sit at the first 8-10 rows of the seat. Besides it is very good for kids to experience these shows, there are varieties of sea creatures and they are very educational for kids.

Kamogawa sea world is worth traveling 2 hr from chiba station. There are 3 main shows - killer whales, beluga, and sea lion. They are awesome shows worth the money. There are other smaller aquariums which are interesting as well. If you travel from chiba station, there is a bus at Station 21 that will take you to the entrance of the sea world. I find it is the most cost-effective, time effective, and stress free transportation.

Would of given 5 stars but the dolophin show was not happening due to renovation of the arena; and there was no mention on the website..... drove 2 hours from tokyo and was disappointed by not seeing the dolphin show. The Orca and Seal performances were really good. Sea exhibits and habitats are really nice and well maintained.

Buying the tickets on Klook can get you some discount if u pay via Paypay. I took the free shuttle bus. It is convenient. In my view the Orca and the Beluga shows were the highlights. The dolphin show was closed. Among the aquariums, the Tropical one is better with some really colorful corals. Their soft serve ice cream is pathetic. Tastes of some chemical preservatives. Not worth the money.
