Really enjoyed the reconstructed building of this open air museum! Super cool concept, not to mention that it is located in a wonderful, quiet park. Definitely go if you have some time in Tokyo. Very accessible by train, followed by local bus.

This is a great day trip from Tokyo and offers a great place to view the cherry trees for Hanmari. The museum is charming with numerous exhibits that were loved from all over Japan to be placed on the grounds here. The gardens are amazing and the staff is attentive and many are fluent in English. Highly recommended if you are a fan of Japanese architecture.

Very comforting place to visit, especially when you sick of the crowded Tokyo, taking a little break here might be a good option. there's some a nice spot to take a pictures for your sns This Open air museum 30 minutes by walk from the Musashi-koganei Station, or like 3-4 minutes by bus. And it's place in the park area so before you entering it, you may take a rest and do some picnic, the Sakura trees here was beautiful.

Despite the rain, the atmosphere of the open air museum was moody and quiet. It was wonderful to be part of. Being on the tatami mats was so nice

A truly wonderful, quiet museum featuring interesting historical houses. If you want to get a feel for some of the historical architecture of Japan this is a great place to visit. It's nestled in the middle of a lovely park that is easily accessed by bus from the nearby JR station. We only planned to spend a couple hours here but could have made this an entire day visit. There are so many houses! Don't forget to wear socks the day you visit - many of the houses ask you to take off your shoes. They provide shade umbrellas for your convenience.
