Ninnaji is a very important Buddhist temple founded in the 9th century, and designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temple has a stunning architecture, including the main hall and pagoda, as well as its extensive gardens all around. Really recommended!! Enjoy it :)

Ninna-ji Temple in Kyoto is a breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage site, one of my favorites in Japan! Rich in history, established in 888 AD, and of cultural significance. Stunning architecture, beautiful gardens, and the iconic Goju-no-To (Five Story Pagoda) - all in one. A profound connection to Japan's heritage.

It's a nice temple, though a little bit pricey. Only went to the Emporers garden, which was beautiful, though some of the buildings were under construction. If you are in the area, I would only recommend it if it's Sakura season.

Grounds are free, and is beautiful with lots to see, including a pagoda, gardens, and tranquil tree lined paths. It cost ¥800 to enter some buildings.

We have visited this temple, both during autumn and the cherry blossom period and both times the scenery was beautiful. It was very crowded during the cherry blossom as there is a decent amount of Sakura trees but it was still worth it.
