Highly recommended for kids under 10years old, observing tiny water animal such as fish, lobster, crab and others. Average spending time 30-45minutes. Don't expect too much animal collection here, but just enough for kids to get familiar with underwater species.

Good place to take young kids to learn about many fish, reptiles and aquatic creatures. All the species being local to the region makes it special. The small pool where kids can hold the zarigani crayfish is interesting. There is some green space outside for kids to play and relax

Nice place to take kids. Not a big aquarium but kids have lots of fun. Tickets cost around 300¥ per kid (above 5 years old) and 500¥ for adults.

I am sure kids like to come here. This is a good place for educated children about fish.

I stopped by on a weekday at the end of July while on a family trip to Matsue Castle and Izumo Taisha Shrine. I decided to go there because I saw a poster (for a beach play project) that was posted at the hotel I stayed at, and I recorded the longest time I spent on this trip. It may be only available for a limited time, but my youngest brother is hooked on the touch pool where you can touch sea creatures. Even after the little kids who came later moved on, they continued to stay and were so happy that in the end, they became friends with the hermit crabs so much that they didn't hide in their shells even when they touched them. Since it was midday in the middle of summer, we could only see a few wild birds, but I think it's the perfect place to take children who love nature. Even if you look at it from the perspective of an aquarium that focuses on freshwater fish, the prices are extremely reasonable.
