Quite pleasant mountain view near Tokyo. Easy to go, doesn’t require long steps hiking rather than it requires slow walk from Yokoze Satiation. There is beautiful flower garden but unfortunately my visit doesn’t allow to enjoy it.

We visited on April 20 2024. There are a few patches on the hill which have not bloomed yet but it is very beautiful and you can visit. The place gets crowded on weekends but the arrangements on crowd and traffic management are good. Wheelchairs are available at the entry gate. No discount for seniors. The slopes are covered with at least five varieties of flowers. There are a number of weeping cherries as well however they are past their full bloom now. You can easily spend from 45 mins to a few hrs here. Since the park closes at 5 better to come in early. Keep walking along the road if you need to avoid the stairs.

As good as the pictures but as usual be ready to see a lot of people. You can check on the website if the flowers bloomed already. Above the field, you can find a lot of stands with food and the usual attractions giving the place a feeling of summer festival. I recommend the strawberry shaved ice 🐱

Beautiful, I thought the pictures don't do it justice. The weather was gorgeous and the mountain backdrop adds such depth to the already beautiful scenery.

Some flowers were in full bloom, but many weren't. It was a 25 minute walk from the station to see the flowers for about 15 minutes. Given how far it is from any major city, I'm not sure it's worth the trip.
