There were a fair bit art collections here and tickets were pretty good value only 500yen for adult admission. It is free for the child and teens. The university students have the concession fare too. The only downside was the router not very well designed and lighting could be better

Great collections of arts, including paintings and sculptures. So happy to see a room of Monet! It's not a big museum, perfec for spending a couple of hours. Also close to other museum and park. Some restaurants nearby as well.

A must visit!! ¥500 entry. Here’s what Chat.G.P.T says- “The National Museum of Western Art (NMWA) in Tokyo is a prominent museum dedicated to Western art, established in 1959. Located in Ueno Park, the museum was founded to house and display the Matsukata Collection, which includes works by renowned European artists from the Renaissance to the early 20th century. The museum's main building is an architectural masterpiece designed by the famous Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier. It was his only work in Japan and was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2016 as part of "The Architectural Work of Le Corbusier, an Outstanding Contribution to the Modern Movement." The museum's collection includes works by artists such as Rodin, Monet, Renoir, and Van Gogh, making it a significant cultural institution for both Japanese and international visitors interested in Western art. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions, educational programs, and research activities related to Western art history.”

Smaller sized museum. All the rooms are pretty decent in terms of the art so not much wasted space. Would definitely recommend a visit. 500 yen entrance fee.

Sleeper hit attraction in Tokyo and Im glad I found the time. Only ¥500 to enter and see a spectacular collection of impressionists and modernist galleries including works from Monet, Pissarro, Picasso, Manet and Munch. The building itself is cultural heritage listed having been designed by Le Corbusier. A brochure and displays explain the history and logic behind the architecture and it is really a beautiful building. Many sculptures by Rodin throughout. Could spend a solid 2 hours here if you have the time.
