Kirosan Observatory Park

Super stunning breathtaking 500 meter high, Trillion BTC view of the Setouchi and the landmark bridge that connects Imabari and Matsuyama. Highly recommended! You won’t regret it!

The road to getting to the observatory was a little narrow, and the parking space with a little crowded, but all in all it was a well managed observatory park with a sensational view. . I tried the salty ice cream treated at the entrance of the observatory, which was refreshing after the return from the (short) climb. . If anybody is in the Matsuyamaarea I would definitely recommend a visit. About an hour and a half drive from Matsuyama city.

Definitely stop here if traveling to or from Shikoku by car or bus. The 360 views are incredible. You know you are in Japan when you visit this observation platform- the verdant near-mountain scenery mixed with soft, distant mountain silhouettes is what Japan is all about.

Wow, just wow! not only are the views 360 degrees of magic but the structure on the top is a bespoke architectural vision. This is a must see if you are on Ōshima Island. There are super clean toilets at tge top with the cutest homely touches! We were there just before sunset af golden hour it was breath taking. There are countless operated binoculars too. It is 360 meters of elevation with a 5-9 degree gradient on the road. Car or scooter is better if you are an expert road cyclist this is an epic hill climb.
