The former Najima Castle ruins near Najima Sports Park have been turned into a park where you can walk, and you can also access Najima Shrine and Toyokawa Inari, and enjoy the scenery from the castle ruins. However, since it is on top of a small mountain, the climb is quite difficult, so please be aware of this before heading out.

There are a number of small attractions scattered around the area. It's a place where you can take a short historical walk. Although it is not a well-known place even among Fukuoka citizens, it was surprisingly well maintained. Maybe it's a little too well-organized. The view from Kashii to Chihaya to Matsuzaki is open, but the view from Hakata Bay (possible on Najima Coast) to Tatara River (Najima Bridge) was blocked by trees and could not be seen. There are few ruins, Perhaps some parts have been urbanized, It was the base for Takakage Kobayakawa's rule of Hakata in Chikuzen Province, and you can't really get a feel for its atmosphere. you can't. It has the atmosphere of a common ``small mountain with a shrine''. From the names of some of the surrounding streets, that there was a castle here It reminds me. Shiroyama-do, Shichibei-yashiki-dori, There is also Lindbergh Street. (There used to be a Nashima sea airfield, and it is said that Lindbergh once flew there.)

I went inside for the third time. There seems to be a set time when the locks are unlocked depending on the season, so it would be a good idea to check. There was a place with a row of Garyu cherry blossoms, but this time it was out of season, so I thought it would be really beautiful if it was cherry blossom season.

I like shrines and have visited many shrines, but Najima Shrine was the best. The company isn't huge, but the atmosphere here is quite nice. There was also a large ginkgo tree, and it felt like I was in a different world. It's also beautiful to see the ground turning bright yellow with so many yellow fallen leaves. The stairs leading straight from the coast were also fantastic and solemn. There was also a park on the ruins of Najima Castle, which was also a very comfortable place. I thought I knew a lot about Higashi Ward, but I was careless in not having visited such a wonderful place. This is a shrine that you should definitely visit at least once.
