Terasaka Rice Terrace

It's a great local spot to see rice fields. The view is very nice, and there's a parking lot with toilet and a vending machine. We visited on bicycle that we took from Chichibu tourist information. This was on route and you should not miss it if you're in the area.

Beautiful rice fields terraces located within 10 minutes walk from nearby Yokoze station in Seibu Chichibu line. You can enjoy the view of Mt. Buko and also the beautiful scenery of Chichibu area. I believe there's also many event held in this event such as Rice fields school for children or lantern festival. If you come in around June you can see many unique life creatures in the fields too. It's a unique place that surprisingly located only 1 hour by local train from the biggest city in the world, Tokyo.

Its an amazing place. A vast paddy field in the mountain range. Inside the field there are many red spider lily as well as golden white spider lily flower. The lily blooming time and rice harvesting time are almost same. great place to learn Japanese agricultural culture. Its only 20 mint walking distance from the Yokoze station
