There was a large park at a nearby roadside station, so I let my daughter play there and then stopped by here. It's a place with a great atmosphere. There were a lot of insects at this time of year. Also, there is a private house right next to it, so I felt like I had to park my car so I wouldn't be a nuisance. There was space to park one or two cars. There are many limestone caves around here.

A small limestone cave where spring water flows like a stream (it seems to be a hole created by erosion from the spring water) that eventually flows into the Oniyagawa River that flows nearby. Since it's February, there aren't any snakes in the air, but as the weather gets warmer, it looks like snakes will be living there. According to the legend on the information board, the ``Dragon God/Orohime'' (Otohime) who lived here used to grant the wishes of villagers in need, but one day, he was deceived by the villagers and became angry and turned into a frightening serpent. It is said that he ascended to heaven with a black cloud, and since then no one has asked for any of his wishes. It's a saying that you shouldn't lie, cheat, or hide anything. Will honest people be saved?

I visited with the SUBAROAD navigation system. In this area, where there is a lot of limestone, water made of dissolved calcium gushes out from deep within the cave. Powerful like the source of a river. The old stories were also interesting.

There is no parking lot, but you can park one car in front of the snake hole. When I visited, it was a little early for the leaves to turn, but the sacred tree in front of the shrine was starting to change color and it was very beautiful to see from inside the cave. The water flowing from the back of the cave was beautiful, and although it was a small place, it was very soothing.
