Absolutely not to be missed. This is an exquisite jewel of a Japanese garden. The design is perfection itself, and everything is beautifully maintained. We went in the height of summer, but I'm sure it would impress in any season. Well worth the price of admission.

This garden was absolutely beautiful. If you're heading to the temple not far from here, I recommend stopping by to enjoy it. It's a bit expensive at 1,200 yen. But it gets you access to a small museum nearby. Use it to cool down during hot months.

Just stunning. I liked it even more than Ritsurin Garden. It's smaller and a lot more expensive but there's attention to detail everywhere. The ¥1200 cost also includes the museum. We walked the entire grounds 3 times to see everything and left just as a large tour group showed up. Parking in the area is kinda scarce and there's spots for about 6 cars (per area) scattered around. The price is about ¥300 per 20 minutes on the weekend, so it's not cheap either. The outside area is generally very crowded so drive safely and slowly.

If you want to escape to a less crowded place with very nice surroundings, this is just the place. Stop by and support the gardeners taking care of this place, because this garden is a thing of beauty.

We went in for free and it was so worth it. It's a small garden that is extremely aesthetically pleasing. It really feels like a little fairy tale.
