Biwako Hakodateyama

A popular ski slope for the locals during the winter season. But during the warmer weather, the slope is covered in flowers. The panoramic view of Biwa Lake, surrounding towns is beautiful, worth including in your trip, if your in this lovely part Japan.

The place is nice, it has a course for beginners and experienced boarders and skiiers. although, the beginner course is a small especially when the crowd up there at the same time. the snow when we got there is artificial because it is raining and no natural snow formation. the food in both restaurant and cafe is tasty and not overpriced. the staff are helpful especially when you are renting items. they have items needed for doing the sport for sale also.

Good place for skiing, sledding and sleighing. They create artificial snow if the natural snow is not enough, especially during the start of winter season. Rental prices are a bit pricey though, best to bring your own snow gear and equipment if you have it.

There are many spots to take picture, but it will be crowded even during weekday afternoon.

Nice slopes. Lifts on all slopes, there's a beginners area and an area for sledding. Food is reasonable and rental fees are OK too. Over all a great experience.
