The most stunning part of this trail where the water cascades down seven steps. Its color is brilliant turquoise and you can get 270 degree view as you move up the trail. It is about 90 minutes after you start from the waterfall side.

We visited last June. I didn't realized about how the place is. So we just up to the 1st falls. I wanna come back and want to go more up high where the main fall is. We were a bit scared of a notice about a Bear sighting or careful of Bear am not really sure. That's why we didn't proceed up to the last one. It's really a nice place. For me it's worth a visit. But make sure to wear a comfortable shoes and gear for hiking.

This place is a must visit! The walk is well curated and, at times, purely magical! Allow at least 3-4 hours to do the whole thing. Bring a picnic along and enjoy!!

Hiking gear needed. Along the river the path sometimes is not very clear, but it is absolutely worth the visit. Be aware that currently (august 23, 2023) you cannot reach the waterfall because the path is under maintenance. An alternative path to the former narrow gauge railroad has been built but it is quite steep and maybe difficult to cover. The return path (which is built upon the former railway track in service until 1968) is higher than the river level and very easy to walk by.

Beautiful walk. A circuit with first 5 km hugging the stream and Waterfall. The 2nd half is gradual downward slope down back to the start through the forest. Catch the 9:12 bus from Yamanashi, 2 to 3 hour possible, 4 hour if slow doing the complete circuit.
