Perhaps not the kind of garden you'd expect within a Japanese castles walls. A pretty wide place with a great view towards the castle. There's a lot of open space and benches below trees. A great place to calm down after visiting the crowded castle. More like a park.

It’s an amazing place to enjoy the hanami season and welcome in Spring. The crowds can get large, but it is a beautiful walk to share in the experience with others who wish to enjoy their day! It is a a great public space that I will make time to take a stroll when I find the time.

A garden beside the castle which I highly recommend that you visit as well. There is a 200yen entrance fee so there were no crowd when I visited.

On our way back from the Osaka castle we visited the Garden and it definitely was very refreshing. Large trees, a big patch of rich green grass and a lot to walk and enjoy. Get off the beaten path and go close to the castle most and you can find some benches where you can park and enjoy some amazing views around the castle and in the garden. Very peaceful and refreshing while you as well get to add to your step count for the day which essentially equates to a mental and physical well being altogether. Definitely worth a visit!!!

A must to go in Osaka, long distance walk. There is a shuttle to take you to the entrance gate of the castle 🏰
