Akanuma Pond（Goshikinuma Ponds）

Beautiful lake to visit with the family

Photographed on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 last year. Commentary: It is one of the Goshikinuma lakes in Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture. Although the name is Akanuma, the color of the lake surface is blue-green. It is said that the lake got its name because the soil at the bottom of the lake is reddish brown. Akanuma is located in the middle of the Goshikinuma Nature Trail and has a walking path. The total length of the promenade is approximately 30 minutes, and there are wooden paths and stairs. The promenade is slippery, so please watch your step. Please be careful as there are wild animals such as bears. In addition to Akanuma, there are various other marshes in the Goshikinuma lake group. These include Bishamon-numa, Midoronuma-numa, Ryunuma-numa, Benten-numa, Ruri-numa, Aonuma-numa, and Yanaginuma-numa.

If you don't ride a boat, it doesn't cost anything. Parking is also free. The trees reflected on the water surface were so beautiful and soothing! I was afraid to pay attention to the bear.
