Great memory visiting here, very quiet temple in the mountains. the stone carving and garden is amazing. worthy the name of national treasure. the raining adds the misty atmosphere, save one star for next visiting.

A very nice and huge temple. The view from the inside is amazing, best season to visit is in fall. For me its like the small version of one of the kyoto’s great temples. The best season to visit is in fall, you will love the colorful leaves that covers the temple which makes it more gorgeous and beautiful 🍁🍂

Natadera is set in a beautiful valley with cave lined cliffs. In fact, the main hall is set into the cliff. Since the Jomon era people have prayed here, the caves were compared to the wombs of mothers and considered to be places of Umarekiyomaru, the cycle of death, purification and rebirth. It's a beautiful place and well worth a visit.

I recommend to buy a special ticket while entering this place which is for 800 yens. But it's worth as it gives you access to the ravishing nature and caves around the temple area. The temple also has an observatory. If you are a fan of taking photos, you can even spend 6 to 7 hours at this place. The temples from inside are beautiful and you can see the gigantic idols over there. We also did Omikuji, which is finding your luck and it was interesting.

Stunning temple. Definitely a must visit when in the area!! Personally found the outside area more worth it then paying more to enter the building as well.
