Lovely castle with amazingly beautiful path leading up to the main castle. The path is beautiful in every season. We went during late winter and the snow around the castle area made the path so magical. Public Transportation is tricky but manageable. We caught the bus and google map is ur friend with bus timetable. Train to Hirosaki is limited so plan ahead. Easier if you drive.

This is my second visit to Hirosaki Castle since 2019. This is one of my favorite historical castle in Japan. The castle itself is now a National Treasure, also known as best location for cheery bloosom and maple leafs.. From the park you can see the most famous mountain - Mount Iwaki, really beautiful..

One of the places of interest in Hirosaki. The park around the castle was serene and beautiful. However, the castle was underwhelming compared to other castles around the world. May be my expectations was too high.

Stunning and amazing night view of Sakura blossom. We came here to enjoy the beautiful flowering season and there are a lot of people doing the same thing day and night. Good vibe to having a street food under the Sakura tree.

Been to quite a lot of castles in Japan, this one is ok. You only need an hour for the grounds and the castle tops. Lots of places to park, all seem to charge around 500 yen for the day. Don't bother visiting unless you are in the area.
