On Saturdays and Sundays, you can try feeding a calf for free at 10am and 2pm. There was no need to make a reservation; all you had to do was go to the management office on the day, write your name, etc., and you could participate. It was 10 o'clock on a sunny Saturday in May, and there were only two groups: my husband and I, and a parent and child. You can hear about the current state of dairy farming, and you can see everything from newborn cows to large cows up close, making it a wonderful experience. I had so much fun that I forgot to take pictures lol I highly recommend it! !

It's easier to climb up Route 26 from Heisenji in Katsuyama City than Route 221. It is a refreshing highland with a great sense of altitude that can be reached in one hour from Fukui city. There are various facilities such as camping, skiing, hot springs, and ranches, but just driving there and taking a deep breath will be enough to refresh you.

This is not an accommodation facility. A farm that raises dairy cows to produce raw milk. Reservations are required to tour the facility. The cows are kept on pasture until October, but are kept in a barn during the winter. This is an advanced and largest dairy facility in Fukui Prefecture.

Cattle are raised at the farm facility. You can experience feeding a small (albeit large) cow, and registration is available at the entrance of the facility (free of charge). Although it is said to be for children, adults can enjoy it as well. I don't think people usually come into contact with cows, so I realized that opportunities like this are important not only for children. Basically, we just watched the cows grazing and the calves in the barn, but even though it was a short time, we had a lot of fun. You can also freely enter the main building, called the administration building, and climb the spiral staircase to get a panoramic view of the farm.

A place to study Okuetsu in Fukui Prefecture, Is that so? It is located at an altitude of nearly 1,000 meters, and if you climb up the side of the former Rokuroshi Kogen Ski Resort, you can see Mt. Misumi right next to it. Anyway, the sky is close on a sunny day. A cloud passes directly overhead. The building has a glass wall (Moomin's house) in the center, and it goes without saying that the view is great. Since it's closed on Saturdays and Sundays, there may not be many opportunities to use the inside, but I think it's a place that makes you happy just by being there. The road that ascends from the Ono City side goes around the mountain and arrives at the village of Heisenji Temple in Katsuyama City. The change in scenery from the plateau to the mountains and down the valley is also a highlight. Please be careful about passing cars.
